Grow Asia is a unique multi-stakeholder partnership platform that brings together farmers, governments, the private sector, NGOs and other stakeholders in Southeast Asia to lift the productivity, profitability and environmental sustainability of smallholder agriculture in the region. Grow Asia was catalyzed by the World Economic Forum (WEF) in 2014, with the unanimous endorsement of the ASEAN Ministers of Agriculture and Forestry (AMAF), to convene, facilitate, and help scale action-focused partnerships. The Grow Asia network now works with more than 520 partners across the region, with 46 Working Groups ("WGs") collectively reaching nearly 1.8 million smallholder farmers. We do this by facilitating multi-stakeholder sectoral coordination around macro-level issues and the development of inclusive and sustainable agriculture value chains. Grow Asia comprises: the regional Grow Asia Secretariat in Singapore; 6 Country Partnerships (CPs), each supported by an in-country team (in Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, and Viet Nam); and 46 Working Groups (WGs), organized around specific cross-cutting issues (e.g., agrifinance) or value chains (e.g., coffee). Further, Grow Asia has regional programs that engage partners from all 10 ASEAN member States, including our Digital program, COVID-19 Response, Fall Armyworm Response, Implementation of the ASEAN Guidelines for Promoting Responsible Investment in Food, Agriculture and Forestry (ASEAN RAI), and Gender Mainstreaming. These programs are managed from the Grow Asia Regional Secretariat.
